One of my top five worst runs ever. Around mile 8 my body just quit, and I had 7 more miserable miles to do. They were dreadfully slow, but hey, I finished. Why I think this happened: I ran in the evening before when I've been doing few runs back to back like that. My dinner was pretty small and I tried to compensate with toast in the evening, which didn't work. And my week has been rather stressful, so that can't have helped. But I think maybe the biggest thing is just that my miles aren't up super high yet. I trust that as I put in higher weekly mileage, my long runs will go better. |
