Half Marathon: 2:04

My first post-high school 5K, in which I thought I was going to die

The first time I won my age division.  Yippee!

My first half marathon, in which I attack Sasha

The time I beat my high school PR for the 5K (as a 31 year-old mommy of 3!)

My first 5K barefooted

Short-Term Running Goals:

I'm just getting back into running after a long break to have my last child.  I would like to race some 10Ks, a half, and a marathon in the next 2 years.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Be the oldest woman to complete a marathon.  Yea!  But hopefully I will also complete some BEFORE I geezer up, like, before I'm 40 for sure.  I think it would be fun to dress up really strange for marathons, like impersonating celebrities and stuff.  Except I don't really like celebrities, as a rule, so maybe I'll have to stick to the age old question of ninja, or pirate.  I say ninja. *Hyah!*

Personal:

I am happily married to James W (Cool Runnings). We have 3 boys and 1 opinionated little girl.  I love reading and I'm also a news junkie.  I am a stinker.

Hmmm, I am starting to seriously wonder why I have not lost any weight this week.  I look thinner when I look in the mirror (but you know how subjective that is) but the scale says absolutely no change this week.  I don't like that.  I feel like I am working pretty hard--adhering to the food plan, doing the required exercise etc.  My gut feeling is that my body has kind of adjusted to this amount of calories and activity.  I wonder what I could do to confuse it again.  My options are a little bit limited--I can't do anything too crazy because I am still providing my baby with 90% of her calories.  There is a possibility that I am not getting enough fat.  My sources of fat include 2 whole eggs, a TEAspoon of natural PB (30 calories), half of an avodado, and whatever fat is in 2 cups of 1% milk.  Oh, and a couple of times a week I eat fish, which has 75 cal. of fat.  No olive oil or butter etc.

By the way, if any of you have an idea for a meal that has between 340-370 calories, 20-24 grams of protein, no sugar or white flour, and hopefully including a whole grain, PuuuuLEASE send it my way.   Bored of the same 5 meals, I am.

Maybe Lichtenstein hasn't come knocking lately.

That's the problem with small countries: they are so standoffish! They never drop by, or call...
