40 minutes elliptical 5, 662 steps. 300 sit ups, 50 push ups, botsu ball, weights and stretching. I've been recalling my training for Boston two years ago a lot this past week since it's coming up. I did much of my winter training runs from work during the afternoons because it was just too cold and dark in the morning before work. The whole Boston experience was a really good one for me. I hated the winter training--but being with my friends there, taking my kids to Concord and Lexington, to Walden Pond, to Louisa May Allcott and Ralph Waldo Emmerson's graves, walking the red line, and then also running from Hopkington into Broylston Ave with all those amazing Boston Marathon supporters--including my personalized message held by a few of Boston's finest police officers--then having one of my better marathon times...it all added up to an amazing experience. It is something I can always look back on and be proud of having achieved. That folks is what I think about as I'm pumping and sweating away on my stupid elliptical while watching the last few episodes of Archer. |
