I ran my first marathon as a teenager in 1981 with my Dad (The Coronado Marathon). Since then I've run St, George (3x) Utah Valley (3x) Ogden (1 full, 2 halves) Park City (1 x) Boston Marathon (1x) Washington DC (1x) Moab Half Marathon (6x) ,Ye Old Freedom Festival 5 & 10K (a million x) and many others.
But I'm all done with that now. I'm officially a jogger.
I ran 4 miles on the trail at lunch. I dare you to try not to slip on all those wet leaves. It's hard. Running in the rain is so melancholy. I wish the rain would turn to snow.
I'm kind of getting back into things. It's one step forward, two backwards, and so much stretching I want to die. I know you've slowed down a lot for your back. I hope its getting better. It's such a long process....and what you think is slow, just isn't slow enough.
How are you LadyLuz? Have you noticed that so many people are injured right now? It's crazy..seems like everybody's blog I check has something crazy going on. Thank goodness for slippery leaves though...I am DREADING the snow. I got way too much of it last year. Here's to a great recovery for all of us. :) Have a great weekend. :)
I have not been blogging much because I'm on the treadmill and the stationary for an hour a day, and there's just not much to report....I have noticed how many people are recovering. It's winter, that cold makes you creaky and stiff. It's been slow going for me. But I have learned a lot about my hips, lower back and hamstrings. I hope to keep on going out a couple of times a week just to keep my feet on the ground. But I miss the freedom days of easy long runs. Everything takes effort now followed by lots of stretching. I hope you're doing well. I'll have to check in soon to see how you're doing!
