I ran one good quick mile today.  It's been so hard to get my legs moving.  But I didn't get out until later today (after I got the kids off to school).  I haven't had the heart to go out in the dark and now the prime running hour is now occupied by waking up warm, sleepy-eyed children and simultaneous eggs/waffle/sandwich/carrot stick making. But let me tell you, it's a bad idea to bring the dogs on the trail after 8:00.  It's all old people who take it upon themselves to enforce the leash law (even if the dogs are well trained), and mommys lined shoulder to shoulder with their double strollers.  I should know better.  It was a great summer wasn't it?

School just wreaks EVERYTHING!! :D Soon enough all these fair weather runners/walker/strollers will be in their warm homes and the roads will be all ours again, we'll be frozen, but alone ;D Hey get a seeing eye dog thing for your dog and pretend you're deaf and blind and can't hear the old party pooper/retired wanna be cops!

I do love the winter running. No one to contend with out there! I forgot though how long it takes to warm up in the cold....these mornings are nice, but I can feel the chill already. P.S. I've thought of telling the leash people over my shoulder that they are my attack dogs, but seeing eye dogs would be funnier--maybe I could get them those little florescent vests to wear.
