Granted, some Mondays are harder than other Mondays.  But when it dark, 29 degrees (or maybe 15 degrees considering windchill ), with cloudy skies, 2 inches of fresh powder on top of newly budded tree branches, and even the dogs don't want to leave their beds.....That my friends is MONDAY in all CAPS.  I can take a few days of the cold throwback weather.....but it's going to last ALL WEEK long.  Where's my St. John's Wort, Valerian Root, and Zanax when I need it?  Escaping winter feels, strangely like those last .2 of the race.... that long, never ending corridor before the finish line...you can see it, people are telling you 'you're almost there!',  but it's in a slow motion time warp that seems neverending).  So I got on the dreadmill and jogged slower than I care to admit and counted myself lucky to have a  DVD to watch (totally out of breath, inspiration, and engery by 7:00 a.m.). I'm sure the french fries on Friday and all the totally excellent Mexican Food (enjoyed at Mercado Mejicano on State Street in Orem) is to blame.  That and the most depressing Spring weather since 1994.

Hey you! I found out what that cool noise was at the lake when we were throwing rocks. That is the noise ice makes when it is expanding and growing. cool eh?

No words today? I hope your training is going well :)

you know, I tried to make this blog entry twice. On my blog calendar, Monday was February 30th. So then, I tried to enter Monday's on Wednesday because the date was right. But both times they dissappeared. I'll probably have the same trouble again today. Cool science on that lake sound effect. That was pretty weird. I just thought it was maybe waves hitting the underside of the ice and coming out that tiny hole. The ice is melting, I doubt it will be there this Saturday.

I'll mention the problem to Sasha and see if it has a quick fix.

Your blog is also possessed for having old comments on the wrong day...weird....Wasn't last year's weather worse? I feel pretty patient this year remembering my spring garden that died in the onslaught of snow that lasted until ..oh about the first day of June. I remember taking my kids to the park every month for my midwife appt and every month..March, April and May the weather was horrid.
