The worst run ever.  I was good the first 6, but then the temp dropped 10 degrees and I was underdressed (didn't even wear gloves), I lost my dog in the newly unfrozen marsh, and I got really sick to my stomach (hmmm, maybe that block of Velveta and 42 oz. Diet Pepsi wasn't such a good idea).  I forget also, that even at 27 degrees, you can get dehydrated.  The last 3 miles all I could dream about was getting home to drink a gallon of water.  My next runs will be shorter, higher intensity.  No more long runs until Moab.  After Moab, I'll reevealuate for the Ogden Marathon. Jeff and I passed each other a bunch of times doubling up portions of the trail for extra miles.  You know when someone is good at something when they make it look easy.  He makes running look effortless, he glides.  It's fun watching people do what they are good at. But it makes me wonder, do I make anything look effortless?  Am I that good at anything?  Probably just eating.

Are you just trying to make me like you more??? Velveeta and diet pepsi??? You know we are best friends now? :) Although I have given up diet pepsi for lent. It will be 2 weeks on tuesday. IF I don't notice any difference by April 11th, I am back on the wagon ;)

I am sorry your run was crap today :( I am sorry Ginger took off on you. She just can't help herself ;)

AND... you are very talented. Don't make me sick Sarah on you. Just in the little time I have known you, you are a beautiful writer. You run like a gazelle :) You have a beautiful family. (Beautiful families don't just happen by chance ;) I know how you feel though. It seems the talents we long for are very illusive :) I want to be a skinny fast running great housekeeper with the patients of Job :) Don't tell my husband, he'll laugh himself into a coma :D

So funny that you knew it was Ginger. I'm going to try and picture myself as a gazelle. It's a nice image. Let's get together some time in April when you're back on the wagon....jk. I totally support your non-Pepsi life style.

Of course it was Ginger :) Sarah is your protecter and would not leave you. Plus Ginger tried to gevie me a heart attack in the marsh last time :)

Yes yes yes (about a run together). I think we were going to try a Memory Grove run like the second weekend in April. I am up to run the river trail any sat. though. It's only about 17 min from my house :) I really loved the trail and the company :D

Sorry you had a crappy run today. But - on the bright side.... you did not die of hypothermia, you must still have your dog, and Marion is now your best friend.

Thanks for that Maurine. Funny how Velveeta and Pepsi might bring you a friend....:) P.S. I hope to finally meet you guys on the 'Memorial Grove' run in April!
