I ran my first marathon as a teenager in 1981 with my Dad (The Coronado Marathon). Since then I've run St, George (3x) Utah Valley (3x) Ogden (1 full, 2 halves) Park City (1 x) Boston Marathon (1x) Washington DC (1x) Moab Half Marathon (6x) ,Ye Old Freedom Festival 5 & 10K (a million x) and many others.
But I'm all done with that now. I'm officially a jogger.
Here's a big virtual hug for you Luz! Stay positive - you really do have your whole life, and you still have lots of time until St. George too. I'm sending good vibes that your injury will pass in no time!
Welcome home! I am so sorry you are not feeling well. Take care of yourself - that is the number one priority and focus on your long term goal of "just keep running" and the rest will take care of itself.
I'm so sorry. It is SO hard to take life as it comes... and not cry- a bit anyway. ((((hugs)))) from me too. Michelle L's doc is Provo was FANTASTIC :) I really wish I had seen him first thing with my calf. HIs name is Dr Eric BRady. He's a Sport Medicine Chiropractor, acupuncture too. Hang in there, things ALWAYS get better. If you need a laugh- take a look at my sunday :D
Oh Luz..you are so eloquent. I had a great time running with you and I am so sorry that you were still worn out. How frustrating. You did have a beautiful summer..I enjoyed parts of it with you by reading your blog and getting to know you. Let's hope for the best in the next few weeks.
