No one is more thrilled than me that Josse's recovery day is a perfect training day for me. Not quite deserving the term tempo run quite yet.  But Josse performed her service project for the day by pushing me (whining and wincing) through two fast miles (I'm usually not that big of a baby I swear it, but I'm happy to say that I'm now past the fear of completley coming apart in front of others). That's where the weakness lives and I'm going to conquer it and smooth it over.  I can, can,can :)  That was for Josse. Thank you!

Even though today felt a little low energy for me, I'm confident to report that my new threshold is 7:19-7:30 as opposed to the 8:02 of just last month.  I do want to average 8:15's eventually for long runs, but I'd like to be able to tempo 4 at sub 8:00 before summer's over without over training before St. George.

Ave pace 8:29 (with 3 stops). Whew.

See! Anything is possible once you come off the soda! JK. Let's not kid around here, I was practically crying. But thank you! I've just got to keep doing that so I can prove to myself that it wasn't an anomaly.

You did so great today! I would be very proud of myself if I where you:) I very much enjoy running with you.

Likewise Josse. Thank you!

I haven't had a diet pepsi for about a week :D So how long do I have to be off it before I am as fast as you are ;)

Hey and if you are crying during the run, does that mean you will be less likely to cry when you find your kids eating noodles off of the floor? (literally off of the floor like puppies? :)

Wow, great job today! I need to find a superfast person to push me down here. Actually, for me, just a plain "fast" person will do for now! You are turning into quite the speedracer!

Yes! Get the crying over with early in the day, and then you're ready for even Ididntwashmyhandsafterthebathroom days--worse by far than floornoodles....

I'm just so lucky to live where I live and to have found the blog after all these years of running. It's connected me to some pretty amazing and facinating people. If you're ever in Utah, you can come by for a run and I'll show you where all the fast superstar runners train....I can't promise to go fast, but I can show you where they run!

WOW girl you are rockin'! It's amazing what we can do with some fast people motivating us. Nice job!
