2 mile warm up before meeting up to do some speed stuff on the track at Dixie State. What a garbage track! I did a ladder workout (400-800-1200-1600-1200-800-400). My goal was just to hit 5:00/mile or faster on everything. My stomach was not cooperating from the yummy sushi from last night so I was curious how it would go. My splits were as follows: 1:12, 2:29, 3:44, 5:20 (sushi was starting to come up/struggled a bit), 3:45, 2:30, and 1:09. Finished with a 3 mile cool down. Happy with the workout but I wish I could have hit a better 1600 split. Oh well. |
