Just what you were waiting for... yet another race report by me.

This was a grand prix event, located on St George Island, almost 2 hours from Tallahassee. It started at 7pm under the hot, hot sun. Yuck.

Not many details... it was super hot, and my time was bad but with the heat and head wind I didn't expect anything better than that really. My main "competition" (she's actually a friend I love racing with) missed the start, so there were no other girls around me, but ran mainly with a guy who I run some tempos with.  I didn't place as well in the men as I normally do though, so that shows I'm not quite in the shape I was a month or two ago.  I'll get there though. And I am perfectly happy in the mean time running 19:45s on "bad" days... after all, I would have killed for this time last year.

Pretty much just glad this one is over! Is it Autumn yet???

Splits were something like 6:15 (felt ehhh), 6:33 (headwind, hurting), 6:22 (hot, hurting, wind at back)

Congrats. I remember the Sizzler being a particularly hot (and slow) race for me last year.

Solid run, and congrats again on the win.

Woo-hoo!!! Another win for Kelsey! You are awesome. I can not even imagine running a 5k anywhere near that fast, it is so impressive!

Yeah, is it fall yet? What is up with this stupid heat of summer???

Is there a 12 step for racing addicts ;) You are a machine! I would race as much as you do too, if I could win like you do :) Ya hoo! Kudos Kelsey :)
