Small grand prix event for a track club in Baltimore. I decided to do this as a workout, and at $6 it was well worth it. I got a  $15 gift card to panera bread, and ate an awesome cinnamon sugar bagel.  Words can't describe.... it was almost like a donut. I plan on buying some of those with my gift card. Yummmm.

Semi-hilly, two-lap course. Miles 1 and 3 were uphill, 2 and 4 were downhill.

I am pretty happy with this, considering I basically did a two-week taper. The McMillan race calculator puts me at a 19:56 5k, which isn't too bad but not nearly where I wanted to be. I tried my best to stay in shape while gone, and the first three weeks I did a great job, including speed workouts and distance runs. The last two weeks consited of major jet lag, sickness, and other events which caused me to miss a lot of runs. But I get back to Tallahassee next week and I'll get right back into the swing of things. Hopefully it doesn't take me too long to get back to where I was. Nothing a few interval sessions and tempo runs can't cure!

I think you did awesome! Are your legs feeling pretty tired after the race?

That's a 250% return on your investment! I think. Better ask Nevels. He's the smart one. Anyway, great job!

You are going to ave so many first places you will not know what to do with them!!! Want to share some with me?

Awesome job, AGAIN!

I want your prize, bread that is almost like a donut...nummy!

Thanks guys. I know you probably get bored of reading about all of my boring 5ks! But at least I can talk about the awesome food! I just looked on their webpage... I guess you don't have Panera Bread in Utah. But if you are ever near one it is called the Cinnamon Crunch bagel. (I also just saw the nutrition facts by accident... I won't share those!)

I didn't see any in Arizona or Idaho either. Bummer!

I am not afraid of calories, you know me!!!

I have heard of this place many times, I must visit a state that has one!

Never bored, I love to read your race reports!

I think there is one here ... I could have sworn I have seen one. Maybe it was a Panera knock-off ;-). I loved going there when I lived in Nashville. I will be going to DC in August and I know they have them there ... so I will make sure I write this down somewhere and try to remember to try one! I bet they would be good with vanilla ice cream ;-).

Bonnie---did you have to say ice cream??? Now I have to go get some pie or something with ice cream on it!

Great job Kelsey! You are so fast. I LOVE Panera! We had them in Cleveland and unfortunately there are none in New Orleans. The turkey on tomato basil bread and a cup of brocolli soup is SO good!

I once had a lox and cream cheese donut that was almost like a bagel.

Insane pace for not being where you want to be.

Great race. It's good to see you are back on your feet again. Keep it up.
