Aw thanks :) I am in a weird position, since I have historically run better with more rest, but I know I am doing the complete opposite of what Sasha recommends. I don't know if I want to amp up my usual training for my next race or try a method closer to what Sasha recommends. It might be worth a shot. But I don't have to worry about that yet, because I am in the HOME STRETCH!!! Yay! My marathon is November 29th, so really I just have a 20 miler and some tapering left. Thanks for your support ladies :)
Yeah, I am a youngin, only 24. The marathon I am running is a super super small marathon called the Mississippi Coast Marathon in Waveland, MS. Probably only about 150 people, and the first girl usually runs between 3:30 and 3:40, so if I run a really good race and get a BQ I should also be around top 3! That adds even more excitement, so I am just hoping for a great (uneventful) 20 miler so I can get rid of any training anxiety, and then an even better race. My biggest fear is to get injured during my last long run!
After what you did at Lake Caroline, I think Kelli is right: you should go for the win at the MCM. Best of luck, and enjoy the taper.
