| Note that this week I put my long run as fast miles :) I was in Myrtle Beach for vacation and decided to do an out and back on Ocean Blvd. So I took my Nike+ and used that for mileage... it is usually pretty accurate. My first 5 mile split was 41:30 which was exactly where I wanted to be. I was going to just pick it up the last 2 miles but after I turned around I felt great and decided to see what I can do. The faster I went, the more excited I got, making me go even faster. The end result: 34:30!!! So if it was an even 5 miles that would be under 7 minute pace, and under 8 for the entire 10. This was by far my best "mid-long" run ever. Things are really coming together and I just hope I can stay quick, healthy and keep getting stronger for my upcoming races, especially the marathon.
Current Race Schedule: "Breakfast on the track" mile: in 2 weeks (Insert a 5k or two and possibly a half marathon here)
Baltimore Half Marathon: Mid October Mississippi Gulf Coast Marathon: November 29th

Woke up and really didn't want to run but I forced myself to get out there. Aimed to go 11 miles, but when I drove my car down the course it looks like it was more along the lines of 10.5. It felt OK, not great, but not horrible. Dropped like 3 minutes on the way back and Ran it in 1:25. Slightly hilly. Didn't feel nearly as good as last week's awesome long run but had one less recover day.

| ran about 3.5 miles in san luis park fairly easy, but pushed the hills a little bit to really stretch the legs. haven't felt very good this week, but hoping i will feel better for the "race" saturday! just found out i have to have surgery on my salivary gland to remove a stone that has been bothering me for 7 years now :( my first time going under the knife! it is an outpatient surgery, so it shouldn't be bad. i am having it done on wednesday. i wasn't going to do a long run this weekend because of the race, but looks like i should since i may not be up to it next weekend.

| I did my long run this morning since I didn't last weekend because of the race, and may not be able to later this week because of the surgery tomorrow and race Saturday (I decided to do an 8k). Went pretty well... it was kind of divided into three sections-
home to ocala: about 40:30 loop around san luis (2 laps): about 18:30 ocala to home: about 36 minutes (dropped 4 minutes on the way back!!!) wish me luck on the surgery!

| Finally got to run again! My surgery and hurricane Fay had stopped me, so I hadn't run for a week. This was a very tough workout. Extremely hot and humid, and it didn't help that I went out too fast on the first few. I almost didn't run all the intervals, but I made it! 2x1200 2x800 2x400

| Ran earlier than usual, it was dark the whole time and actually a little scary (not to mention dangerous injury risk). Right on mission, down hartsfield, left capital circle NW, left tharpe (turned when the sidewalk ended) About 38 minutes. Red Shoes- probably about 30 miles on them now
