Note that this week I put my long run as fast miles :) I was in Myrtle Beach for vacation and decided to do an out and back on Ocean Blvd. So I took my Nike+ and used that for mileage... it is usually pretty accurate. My first 5 mile split was 41:30 which was exactly where I wanted to be. I was going to just pick it up the last 2 miles but after I turned around I felt great and decided to see what I can do. The faster I went, the more excited I got, making me go even faster. The end result: 34:30!!! So if it was an even 5 miles that would be under 7 minute pace, and under 8 for the entire 10. This was by far my best "mid-long" run ever. Things are really coming together and I just hope I can stay quick, healthy and keep getting stronger for my upcoming races, especially the marathon.
Current Race Schedule: "Breakfast on the track" mile: in 2 weeks (Insert a 5k or two and possibly a half marathon here)
Baltimore Half Marathon: Mid October Mississippi Gulf Coast Marathon: November 29th
