I started out right where I needed to be in like 23rd and right behind Michael. Then as I started to approach the first hill (the switchbacks) I got thinking negative and axiety grew so much my stomach began to feel sick. I was pretty slow going up the hills all around. I was pretty good at the down hills. Michael and I were going to work together to win, but instead I died off and he won...It was really disappointing because I know I could have been with Michael. I am going to try to do some things to keep me relaxed and positive, like how Corey use to say jokes to himself in the middle of a race. I think if I get passed these mental barriers me and michael could do some damage next year, but I have to get passed them first during track. |
