4.5 easy miles.  After I finished my 14 mile on Saturday my left knee was hurting, it continued to hurt all day Saturday and Sunday.  When I woke up today it felt better but I didn't want to risk it so close to a race.  I waited until 6:00pm to make sure it felt ok and then did some really easy miles.  It still feels good.  I think I will try a few tempo miles tomorrow.

Three miles at 9:13 and then .5 at 8:20 just to wake them up. Knee felt great but my legs felt "mushy" not strong at all.

Lifted for legs

Spin -  Intervals 3 sets of 5 First set 30 second sprint 30 walk.  Second set 30 second run 30 second jog. third set 30 second sprint 30 second run.  We did 5 intervals in each set 3 minute rest and then did it all over again 3 times....I can't remember is there something this weekend I should be saving my legs for cause I sure didn't!

For the past two years we have given this race to my mom for a Christmas gift. We loaded up Friday morning we hoped we would have good weather for the trip.  My sister who came from Preston Idaho had a hard time coming to my house but other than that the drive was great.  Woke up Saturday and I packed my whole running wardrobe just in case but the weather during the race was great a well.

Over all I felt really good during this whole race, it was not a goal race but more of a training run.  I didn't really push it and I felt great during the  race.

One of the best parts of the race was at mile ten when someone started to pass me. I turned to tell him that it was rude pass this late in the race and it was Maynard!  He looked strong I wanted to stay with him but couldn't.

I finished 40 second slower this year than I did last year but felt much stronger at the end.  I passed 12 people in the last two miles so over all I feel good about this race but I hope I can do much better in future races

Time - 1:51:57

Splits - 8:27, 8:22, 8:08, 8:13, 8:36, 8:20, 8:24, 9:01, 8:51, 8:36, 8:57, 8:34, 8:38

My sisters and my mom all run either the half or the 5K for the past two years my mom has taken second in her division in the 5k and this year my Non running sister took 9 minutes off her 5k time!

After the race we shop and play all weekend so much fun we are already planning next year!
