4.25 miles at track practice with some jumping stuff.  Light workout with sprinters...coach said it was an endurance workout.  Not really.

I ran the 800m and 1600m today.  Cool and windy.  800m I started on the inside lane and was boxed in really bad and nearly tripped in teh first 200m.  I had a hard time getting open running space and finished in 3:15.  I talked to dad about how to deal with this for the next race.

in the 1600m I started near the middle.  I held back a little and got clear around the crowd on the back stretch and moved up fast to the lead pack and ran there for most of the race.  I ran steady pace and pushed hard in the last 100m.  The winner ran 6:38 and I ran 7:01, 8th place on only 1 second behind a teammate (3rd taylorview girl to finish).  I felt really good about this race and know I can keep improving.
