Tempo with "24" tonight.  Slow warmup, 1.5 miles, then did 6:30 pace for 4.5 miles, cooldown for 2 miles.  I felt fine, like I could continue for a while.  At the same time, I was glad when the episode ended and I could slow down.  I'll add some time, and work up to 7-8 miles at that faster than marathon pace.

My credit card has airfare charges on it...11 weeks from now, I'll be crashed/trashed in a hotel room in Auburn, MA.

Nice tempo. I think these kind of runs will really be beneficial.

Kam, it sure seems like you're better prepared this year than last at this time. Are you feeling like that? Your workouts are looking good.

nice job, kam. 6:30 pace feeling "fine" is a great sign. i think your fitness has jumped up quite a bit since TOU -- 11 weeks from now you will be crashed/trashed in a hotel room with a new marathon PR.

Agreed with all. That run sounds like it would "thrash" me now.

It's amazing that the mental component of running is so important. I've probably overlooked that a lot in training. If you go into a "hard" workout expecting to suffer and struggle, you do. But if you hit it, and just stay on top of things mentally, you can surprise yourself. "Game"
