| No morning practice today. In the afternoon we did some repeats on the track (4x200m, 2x400m, 1x600m, 1x400, 2x200). It felt good to do some quicker stuff today, but I could tell that my legs haven't quite adjusted to doing these quicker intervals because they were pretty flat towards the end of the workout. Good workout though.

| I was up way late last night finishing up an essay so I had to skip out on morning practice today to get some extra sleep, pretty bummed out about that. In the afternoon we did 7 miles out on the Arizona strip. I felt pretty good but I need to roll out because I was a little tight in some areas.

| 3 easy this morning, I kept thinking it was Tuesday for some reason.
In the afternoon we headed over to the Dixie Center again for another tempo run. 20 minutes again like last time. I made sure I was staying relaxed this time and it helped a ton. Very good workout for me today. I'm starting to kind of like these tempo runs, and I think that they're really going to build my endurance up for the mile.

| 3 easy in the morning to the bridge. I rolled out last night and I think it helped a ton because my legs felt better even after yesterday's workout. Another 4 mile Kenyan run in the afternoon, I'm really liking these Kenyan runs.

| 6 miles this morning before the drive up north for the UHSTCA Indoor Meet tomorrow. Good run, I did some 30 second pick ups on the way back to get some turnover and I felt great, although I overdressed a bit so it was a little warm. I don't really have a time I want to hit tomorrow, I just want to run hard and see how it goes.

| Got to the oval around 8:10ish and just sat around for awhile. I tried not to think too much about my race so I wouldn't get too stressed about it. When I thought I had about 40 minutes until my race I went and warmed up a couple miles. The cooler weather actually felt pretty nice. When I got back they still hadn't even started the girls 800 yet so I still had about 30 minutes to go, so I just tried to stay loose but ended up running around a little bit trying to figure things out. Anyways, it was a pretty good race. There was a few things that I definitely could've done better, but in the end I can't really be mad with a 1 second PR in my season opener. Cooled down about 4.5 afterwards to get some extra mileage in. And in the spirit of these winter games get started up, I also went ice skating on the oval inside the track so that was pretty fun, and way harder than it looks on tv that's for sure.
