Back to the TM.  CAUSE NO WAY was  I about to go out in snow flurries and winds!!!  especially after yesterday's lovely spring-like weather.  Ran my planned 15 miler with 12 @ MP.  3 miles warm up:  8:49, 8:41, 8:34 at 2 %.   Paces for each mile:  7:13, 7:13, 7:13, 7:08, 7:08, 7:08, 7:03 (all those were at 2 % incline) then had to zero TM again and ran the last 5 miles at 1 %, paces: 7:03, 7:03, 6:58, 6:58, last four1/4 mile splits --6:53, 6:53, 6:49, 6:49-6:18.  AP for 12 miles =  7:04. Cooldown 1/2 mile at 8:44 pace.  Took one gu and a friend gave me a strawberry shot block.  Yum.  That helped the best so  I think I will go replenish my supply of those.  Haven't used them in a while.  Took a hot shower followed by a freezing cold shower to the lower half of my body.  Ate cantelope, cottage cheese, oatmeal, skim milk, and a roma tomato.  I think I am due for some chocolate, AGAIN  :  D.  Not sure what MP is.  Probably 7:10 to 7:15.  But hey I hope going over just teaches me to run hard when fatigued.  I wanted to quit with two miles to go.  It wasn't that it was hard physically it was just hard mentally on the HAMPSTER wheel.  I was bored out of my gord.  Bored of watching the miles go by and keeping my footing even and trying to relax my form.  Outdoor running is where it's at for sure.  Nature is so much more calming.  : D

A. I'm never going to race against you. You will make me look silly-slow.

B. If you want to feel better about your decision to stay indoors today, read my report.

That's a nice run Julie. Sounds like you made it worthwhile to be on the treadmill. Way to go.

Wow Julie--heckuva run on the dreadmill! You're looking good for marathon pace--I think you're 3:05 is likely!

thanks April, I think for Utah Valley on June 11th I will shoot for 3:10, the course is on concrete coming out of rolling hills out of the canyon. It is not as fast a course as Ogden I ran the last two years but I think I am in better shape. I am not sure of my stamina, however, on looking down a long stretch of road to the finish line, about 10 miles long, but the dreadmill should take care of that hamster feeling on race day. For SGM it is UNDER 3:05 or else : D
