Recovery afternoon run after dropping my daughter at dance in Cedar Hills.  Ran on the trail and a little off.  Awesome welcomed wind.  It just gave me permission to take it easy and enjoy nature along the way.  Too bad this wind is the preempt to five days of rain in the forecast.  Of course I have three of those off of work.  Ran to total just over a marathon in two days.  3.31 miles at a lovely 9:00 even.   26.2 miles in just under 3:32!!   I love those last nine minute miles!!  Hope to have more in me for the real showing in less than three weeks.  I think I do and that is the first step.  PS I don't want to toe the line at the start but with all the gun versus chip problems with overall and master divisions last year I may have to.  Yuck.  I think I will do what I always do and go toward the end of the first third.  PS I am hoping to place in the masters top three again.

I am rooting for you! You will take that master title!

Hey, have you gotten new shoes, or did I miss it?

Nice long run on Mon! Gun time is the only time that matters when you are trying to place. Line up with the 6 min. milers.

I agree Julie--get right up front and go get that master's title!

Smooth, yes I have new shoes. I wore them for five days straight and my left leg and hip began to give me problems so I switched back. I even wore those old ones for the 10 miler Saturday and the 23 miler Monday. Absolutely NO soreness from the run. NOW I am sore because STUPIDLY I did the pushups last afternoon after a week off and then weights upper with just three pounds. Its like starting over with a week off. I just didn't want to be sore for last Saturday and Monday's workouts. Silly me. I have fibromyalgia-like symptoms all the time. I call it my MS attacks. The Dr's tried to give me those diagnosis' (but I know its allergies to chemicals, a metabolic pathway disorder of some sort) so when I do strength excercises my nerves hurt all over and its hard to differentiate the two problems--general muscles soreness and nerve pain. But the nerve pain goes all the way up into my head/face and shoulder and neck and down the side its hitting all the way to my foot. Hate it but am learning to cope with it thru running, stretching, massage and meditation. Anyway.....how's that for a long post.

Melody and April--- I will try my hardest to brave THE LINE. I like to SEE the front not BE the front. I will have to change my way of thinking. : D

Smooth--- FIRST Master will be hard to get. Mischelle Allred is running again and she was first last year but third overall. And two others (second master) are back as well. NOT going to be easy competition. I will shoot for the stars but if I get the moon I am okay with that : D
