Personal:

I am married with 3 lovely children 28, 20, 14 and a dog named Koda and a cat named Blue.  Love to run and be outside.  I believe that if you think you can do it and you work hard enough any thing is possible.   Life flashes by in the blink of an eye, enjoy it while it last and remember there is a lot more to life than running. I coach high school swim and love it!

Brought the family up to Ogden with Ericka, still nursing a baby so I had to bring them.  I prefer not to cause I don't get sleep with everyone there.  My baby didn't want to sleep in the crib at the hotel so I had to put him in bed with me.   I didn't sleep well and haven't slept well for the last couple nights.  I was feeling pretty hammered when I got up.  But I didn't feel as bad as I thought I would.  Rode the bus up with Ericka, the temps weren't as bad as I thought they were going to be.  It was actually perfect running temps.  We sat around for a while and then warmed up a mile.  I was going to go more but didn't.  They started the race about 10 mins. late.  Going into the race I just wanted to run a solid 10 miles and I thought I was capable of running a 1:37.  I also wanted to start it out easy the first couple of miles.  I feel like I did a pretty good job at accomplishing everything I set out to do.  Started the race in shorts, tank and gloves and took the gloves off around 6.

1-7:48 felt easy

2-7:41 still just nice and easy

3-7:30

4-7:23

5-7:03 and the down hill starts:)

6-7:21 still feel good

7-7:16

8-7:10

9-6:59 picking people off

10-6:55 still picking people off

11-7:22 down hill is all over and I know I have to dig deep to keep it together cause my legs are starting to feel it.

12-7:39  pretending I feel better than the next person so I can pass them faster than they are going, but this is hard.

13-7:37 still able to pass some people:)

.22 1:33  kick it in (watch got .22 for the end, my watch always get this course long) racing a guy that just doesn't want me to beat him.  We cross together and I my legs almost give out.

I was pleased with this and feel I am on my way.......

you are definitely on your way. great job, josse! strong race with more to come.

you were running too fast for me to register that it was you until you passed by. i wish i could have cheered you on more, but it was fun to see you nonetheless. :)

Excellent race Josse! I didn't realize you were running this race until I saw your report. That nursing baby thing is tricky! I'm happy and sad to be in my last month of it all. Your speed is coming back nice and strong! Remember how 'fun' it was last year towing the line for 2? Had some good memories discussions with Smooth on our way up to the dam.

Way to go Josse! Strong race. You're on your way to a great full at Pocatello.

It's your come-back race! Good Job Josse!!!! You are such a champion, you've been so smart about your post-baby, SI issues, strengyh training, etc. Now you're really getting somewhere! Way to hold it together, keep it strong, and stay competative right to the end. You are stronger than ever. It's so good you could draw on Michelle's words and coaching. I love that. All the times I've tried hard and done well, I credit to drawing upon the energy and words of friends and mentors. All those positive, strong thoughts keep the demons away. I loved this report and I am so happy for you!
