To alleviate my taper boredom, I enjoyed writing my most recent blogspot post.  Enjoy.

On a related note, my empty apartment has had exactly one thing of importance on the floor ever since I moved in last month.  It is used often.  Can anyone tell what it is?

If no one gets it right, I'll post a close-up shot tomorrow.

AM- 6 easy xt miles.  One week from today, my two year build-up will come to fruition...

Cell Phone?

From Aaron Kennard on Thu, Sep 16, 2010 at 22:57:55 from 24.8.144.22

Are those maps of the bear course you've been sleeping on to get some osmosis memorization done or something?!?

From JD on Thu, Sep 16, 2010 at 22:58:30 from 166.183.211.134

It's a map! I'm assuming the Bear 100 course?

From Cody on Thu, Sep 16, 2010 at 23:07:28 from 174.52.244.185

Ah, of course. Paul's huge maps of the Bear course he made you. Good catch.

From Superfly on Thu, Sep 16, 2010 at 23:11:05 from 208.117.127.110

cell phone was a good guess too.

From Jon on Thu, Sep 16, 2010 at 23:17:20 from 74.177.84.235

Yup, Aaron won the prize. Well, no prize. But you won.

From Scott Ensign on Thu, Sep 16, 2010 at 23:31:52 from 67.40.114.86

my first impression was you were paper training a new puppy and those were urine stains. I was way off the mark.

From Aaron Kennard on Thu, Sep 16, 2010 at 23:45:30 from 24.8.144.22

SWEEET! WINNER!! I have to take all the wins I can get since I certainly won't be winning any races this weekend going up against Geoff Roes and a bunch of other crazy fast dudes (not to mention the fact that I have never run farther than 32 miles).

So you really do sleep on them too then...that's awesome!! But your claimed 'non-supersticiousness' from your blog post is losing some of its validity I'm afraid.

From JD on Thu, Sep 16, 2010 at 23:53:51 from 166.183.211.134

Dang, I was so close. I guess coming in second makes me the first place loser...I'll take it.

Enjoyed your recent blog. Now I remember clearly seeing you before the start of TOU last year; near Nirvana with the cap donned!

From Bryce on Fri, Sep 17, 2010 at 00:27:09 from 67.186.213.216

One week . . .

From Jon on Fri, Sep 17, 2010 at 06:44:49 from 74.177.115.244

Aaron- sorry, I'm just studying and looking at the maps, not sleeping on them or otherwise trying to absorb the info via osmosis. So it doesn't fall into a tradition, just preparation. :)

From Aaron Kennard on Fri, Sep 17, 2010 at 09:49:05 from 24.8.144.22

Well that's good to hear...you were getting me worried there for a minute. Now my confidence in you showing Dakota Jones and Scott Jaime a thing or two about how to run to Bear lake from Logan has gone back to where it needs to be (wasn't AJW going to do it too? his name's not on the list)

From RivertonPaul on Fri, Sep 17, 2010 at 11:43:05 from 67.42.27.114

Great blog post green shorts and brown beanie bearded man.

From Adam RW on Fri, Sep 17, 2010 at 16:02:41 from 24.10.132.131

I just saw it as newspaper in the corner. I was confused because I assumed both your girls were potty trained :)

ONE WEEK TO GO!!!

From marci on Fri, Sep 17, 2010 at 19:34:09 from 174.19.181.220

i bet you LOVE having your own place to decorate exactly how you want....

From Jon on Fri, Sep 17, 2010 at 21:03:12 from 74.177.120.109

Decorate? Decorate? Maybe, I guess. But I'd definitely prefer you and the girls be here, Marci.

Aaron- we think AJW is still doing it, he probably told the RD to not put his name on the list. Pretty good race, actually- Young Money, Scott, AJW, Evan Honeyfield, Ty Draney (who's also not on the list), Mike Foote, James Breyfogle (just behind me at RR100), Tim Long- all those guys could go sub-24. Should be fun.

From crockett on Sat, Sep 18, 2010 at 11:36:57 from 70.56.100.141

Maps? We don't need no stink'n maps! Leland marks the course so well. Just go with the flow.

From Jon on Sat, Sep 18, 2010 at 14:21:29 from 98.84.70.166

Davy, I'm depending on my familiarity with the course more than with the markings! After all, they entrust people like Cody to put up the flags, so that is questionable judgement right there!
