I have five cute kids. And I have some rockin short green racing shorts- I wear them mainly because it embarrasses my wife so much. I like ultimate frisbee, trail running, reading, and cheering for the Denver Broncos!   And I have the absolute best wife in the world.  And I used to run for the now-disbanded national Team Pearl Izumi- Ultra!

AM- 9 in and around the golf course.

I still can't believe I haven't had a long run on the roads since October.

PM- PW 4 with family.  Sore hips.

I turned in my 2 weeks notice at work today.  My last day is July 23, then I'll have 4 weeks before I move to my new job in South Carolina!  It will be a huge change, but we are excited.  However, I will definitely miss the mountains of Utah, especially how close they are for trail running.  But having a job is more important than staying in Logan, so off we go on a new adventure.  And you better believe that I'll be running the trails every day until I leave!

You better do 20 on the roads to see what it's like again.

From Jon on Thu, Jul 08, 2010 at 11:22:33 from 192.107.247.6

But why? I don't have any races planned on the roads...

From jun on Thu, Jul 08, 2010 at 13:25:12 from 66.239.250.209

Definitely don't do it. It's just a lot of pain and discomfort. Trails are money.

From Vis on Fri, Jul 09, 2010 at 00:29:09 from 208.88.8.22

Wow. That came out of nowhere. I wish you the best. It seems like there is a pretty vibrant trail scene in the southeast.

Does that rule out the Bear 100?

From Paul on Fri, Jul 09, 2010 at 08:23:58 from 174.27.235.135

I didn't realize that you liked the trails. You've never mentioned it.

From Adam RW on Fri, Jul 09, 2010 at 08:43:05 from 155.101.152.123

I second Paul's comment.

welcome to the south!

Paul and Adam- :) I can mention it again for you. Trails, trails, trails, TRAILS!

Vis- no, I'll be flying back for it. The downside is that I'll lose my altitude training benefit.

Wow, so sorry to hear that you will be moving, but it was inevitable. A bunch of good ultras in the East, more each year.

I just read this update. Sorry to hear you'll be moving, and before I even got a chance to meet you. I wish the best for you and your family.
