Running Accomplishments:

I've been running since junior high. Ran middle distance in college with a PB of 1:52 for the 800 meters, then continued running with varying degrees of seriousness throughout my 20's and 30's. Moved up in distance and even ran three marathons (2:43 PB). Now just trying to stay in shape and find balance in life in my 40's.

 

Short-Term Running Goals:

Work out 30 minutes a day, six days a week

 

 

 

 

Long-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy and consistent.

Canal banks + Borah track - 35:21

Felt a bit better than yesterday. Did a timed mile at the track at a steady/hard pace in 5:54, but the rest was just at an easy/moderate pace.

Ran with the team at Cassia. Boys and girls each did 3 x 800 (I did all of them). Good workout for the team as a whole. Times were 2:55, 3:10, 2:54, 3:15, 2:53, 3:12.

Ann Morrison Loop - 39:04

Ran with the team. Finished the loop and ran back and forth with the incoming runners until everyone was done. Did a half mile pickup to move from one group to another at mile 2.

Mile at practice + treadmill - 35+

Easy jog, stretch, then our mile loop at practice. I paced our top guy to a 5:54, which was an improvement from a few weeks ago. Then I came home and did 28 minutes on the treadmill, with 4 x 3 minute pickups in the 6:30 range (MP).

A.M. - Hillcrest Golf Course - 58:11

Ran at 10 a.m. First 4 miles at around 7:30 and last 4 just over 7:00 pace. 8 miles is a challenge right now, but it didn't end up being that bad.

P.M. - Eagle Island State Park - 25+

Ran around cheering on the South runners at the Bob Firman Invite today. I should have brought the garmin because I've always wondered how much mileage I run during several cross country races, running back and forth to different points on the course.
