Running Accomplishments:

I've been running since junior high. Ran middle distance in college with a PB of 1:52 for the 800 meters, then continued running with varying degrees of seriousness throughout my 20's and 30's. Moved up in distance and even ran three marathons (2:43 PB). Now just trying to stay in shape and find balance in life in my 40's.

 

Short-Term Running Goals:

Work out 30 minutes a day, six days a week

 

 

 

 

Long-Term Running Goals:

Stay healthy and consistent.

Longest run in a long time. Didn't feel good at all. Overall pace of 7:42/mile. Need to keep it between 7:40 and 8:00 pace for the next few weeks just to get through some base mileage.

Neighborhoods - 32:31

Ran nice and slow at 9 p.m. Ventured into the neighborhoods south of Overland Rd. and ran around Phillippi Park. Ended up at Pronto to pick up my car.

Borah track - 32:01

Pushed Nica in the stroller. Steady pace for most of it, but parts of it with Emily. Felt exhausted from lack of sleep the past 2 nights.

PMI: Canal Banks + neighborhoods - 34:45

Did a 25 minute run on the canals, then changed shoes and was going to do a 5k hard effort in the neighborhoods. This was not a smart idea. I made it a bit over 1.5 miles at just under 6:00/mile pace then bagged it and jogged in. I was hurting and not ready to put myself in that kind of pain.

Later did 15 minutes on the treadmill and 15 minutes weights and core.

Tired today and just wasn't physically or mentally ready for a workout yet.
