This morning was the Dash for Donation 5K at Sugar House Park, which is a fundraiser for Intermountain Donor Services. If you aren't an organ donor, you should be. As a member of the race committee this year, my primary responsibility was to chop some distance off the course and get it down to 3.1 miles (it was ~3.3 in past years), then actually put the start and finish lines in the appropriate locations on race morning. I succeeded.

Andrea and I ran splits of 6:12, 6:17, and 6:00. She got a second on me over the last 50 meters. I was very impressed that she could run 19:00 on a relatively hard course off relatively pathetic training. I was pleased with my performance as well!

Here's Rob trying to outkick Abby, who rallied late for the win against her Dad.

She really closed the gap on you once you hit the wall with 20 meters left :-)

Congrats on making the course a correct 3.1. Apparently that is very, very hard to do.
