AM - Pipeline Couloir [3500'].

PM - 4 miles w/ Andrea.

We were planning on heading to the Uintas today, but changed our objective last night and decided to finally climb and ski the Pipeline. Glad we did - it was an amazing morning. One of our best outings this season and capped a fun week of chute-themed steep skiing on some classic lines. This one deserves a full trip report (link above).

A 92-year-old woman ran a a marathon in 7:24 today. That's an age-graded 1:59:34!

Not being very good on the skis myself, all I kept thinking when I was looking at the photos was ...Insanity...utter, utter, insanity.

Looks like you all had quite the day!

Bret - I wouldn't recommend Pipeline for a southeasterner :-) In fact if you tried to ski this during Snowbird's operating season, you might get arrested.

It took us a full season before we felt confident to ski steep terrain like that. But its sort of like anything else, once you have your skills dialed, you can do a lot of things you wouldn't have expected even a few months before.
