AM - 9 miles. Plan was either 3x2 or 4 miles continuous at half-marathon pace, depending on how I was feeling. First mile was 5:23; I continued on for another minute then decided I was finished. Andrea was biking along and encouraged me to give it another shot. So after ~3 minutes easy I did a mile in 5:06, then took another 90 seconds jog and ran 5:15 for the last mile.

I recommend taking this type of workout indoors to the treadmill. These workouts are why God gave us the treadmill.

When I recover from Andy's three strikeouts today I'll include some more profound insights.

Where were you doing this workout?

Yep, it's definitely treadmill season... with all the ice and snow covering the roads :-)

Jordan River Path. With a tailwind. So these splits are even worse than they look.

You can't just go from 400s @ HMP right to 2 miles...duh

The Olympic Oval would have been a good option as well.

Good point Joe! :-) That gave me a good chuckle.

The people on that boat literally disappeared after the explosion.

I think my running was on that boat also.
