Very happy to be back on skis after 3 days with no glisse! Saw a big herd of deer/elk type creatures just before it got dark, but it was way too cold to take photos tonight. I had to move uphill at a pretty good clip to keep my fingers from going numb.

It was probably Elk as deer generally avoid big packs. Elk have a strong herding instinct whereas deer are more solitary critters.

Probably the same group of elk I saw up there a couple weeks ago. And the ridge is called "Elk Park" :-)
