AM - 10 miles. 6 mile AT Tempo in 33:36 (5:36/mile avg). Tempo loop.

PM - Wasatch SkiMo Series #3. Criterium style. Wore spandex this time. Learned that you need to get straight to the front in a rando race. I was stuck behind a lot of people on the first lap, but then had room to operate on the next two laps and got in a pretty good (and fun!) workout. Lots of respect for the folks who are really good at SkiMo - it's a challenging sport.

Nice work, Jake. I just googled SkiMo. Apparently you just ski. Then I googled ski.

Anyway, that's quite the double!

First you climb, then you ski. Then repeat and repeat and so on. In the dark.

Randonee is actually a better word than SkiMo for these types of events. I think of ski mountaineering as climbing big mountains and descending on skis. But it's just semantics. The main thing is that you wear spandex, like a man.
