I'm amazed at the mileage that you pull off every day. Keep it up!

Training and recovery is pretty much a full time job right now! Somehow I'm managing to squeeze in my real job, too :-)
I'm feeling good & healthy, and figure that I have nothing to lose by going "all in" and trying to qualify this fall. Its really fun to be chasing this goal... a year ago I would have laughed at this idea... now it seems somewhat tangible.
Gonna cut it back a bit after this week, so hopefully we can push each other to some fast times at TOU 1/2.

Yes, do as much mileage (and naps) as possible before you become old and crushed by the burdens of life! ;-) I've found that running takes less and less priority as I put more in my career and my family...there is both good and bad in that...it just is what it is. I sometimes wonder how good I could be if I had time and energy to do 120 miles/week, but I'll have to be content with 80-90.
I think you have a real strong shot at a qualifier. You have all the attributes needed, plus the work ethic. I look forward to tracking you in Philly.
Yes, TOU 1/2 should be fun. Weather up here has been fantastic in the mornings lately, so hopefully that will hold up. it's a really fast course if you hit it just right.

I can only imagine that your full time job must be a quality assurance test engineer for Serta, or Lazy Boy.
I'm guessing though that you're going to tell us you're a guide for some high adventure rock climbing expedition company.

Paul - I do the "what if" game as well sometimes, wondering where I'd be right now if I had gotten my act together like this several years ago. But who knows if I'd have the passion for it like I do now if I didn't prioritize some other things for a few years. Right now I am lucky that I don't have any major commitments and have the opportunity to chase the dream... I'm also very lucky that Andrea turned out to be such a superstar and she's in this with me! :-)
Rob - I wish!!! I actually coordinate clinical trials at the Huntsman Cancer Institute. Seeing what some folks have to fight through on a daily basis makes adding on a few extra miles or pushing a bit harder in a workout seem like nothing. I do wish I was allowed to take a mid-afternoon nap, though! :-)

Are you saying that I used to be slow???

You and Andrea are awe inspiring! But Paul, you are as well! Total superstars in my book.

Andrea I would say that you had a tiny bit of untapped potential :-)
Thanks Lily!!!
