I guess 122 is the magic number :-)

I'm sure there will be a thousand quotable quotes about Meb this week, but I like this one from Scott Douglas to start: Draw strength from setbacks. Work hard while maintaining perspective. These simple principles can be hard to regularly practice. Of the many reasons to appreciate Meb, his embodiment of those lessons in good times and bad is the best.

I like that. It's unreal how he has risen to the occasion time and time again in big races. And a PR at 38? That's what I am hoping for :)

Awesome race. Fun to watch it streaming. Meb just continues to win the big ones.

He's been written off as being "done" every year since 2007. His resilience is amazing.

Get an ElliptiGo! :-)

Before I clicked on the link I thought that was your bib number, then I thought it was the temperature. That seems down from what I remember hearing a while ago. I've never seen him up close but the Sketchers ads have him looking like a MMA fighter!

He's also like 5'2" tall :-)

From Jason D on Fri, Apr 25, 2014 at 09:39:14 from 24.1.80.94

Oh. Well, maybe if the UFC institutes the Flyweight division.

I knew he wasn't super tall. I thought maybe 5'5". Thought I passed him (going the opposite way) at Beach to Beacon. I guess not.

I once heard announcers comparing him to African runners who were a few lbs lighter (they said he was ~130). Nothing quite like people commenting on your weight AND age.

From Jake K on Fri, Apr 25, 2014 at 10:19:40 from 159.212.71.199

He very well could be taller than I said.

Commenting on age and weight would never fly in a women's race! :-)
