AM - 9 miles. Second half of the run w/ Andrea.

PM - 9 miles. 6 Mile AT Progression in 31:40 (5:17/mi avg). Splits - 5:28, 5:23, 5:20, 5:17, 5:13, 4:58. Tempo loop. 2 up, 1 down. Got rolling a little faster on the last mile. I actually had planned to do this workout on the treadmill... fortunately the air (temporarily) cleared up. It was actually a pretty nice afternoon. Daylight is lasting longer!

Rock 'n' Roll Series Launches New Elite Program ...“Fast running has always been a part of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon since its inception in 1998. We believe our participants and general fans of the sport will like the features of the program, which include a special emphasis to create opportunities for America’s best men and women as they strive to qualify for the 2016 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials.”

Not to mention announcing that they will have CREED and GOO GOO DOLLS at the finish of ALL of their races from now until eternity!!!

I already have a contract with Creed. They are the official soundtrack of my heart. So, this works out great, as I can do RnR races and it won't violate the non-compete clause.

Great use of the word eternity. One of my favorites.

Saw this on letsrun earlier. Great accountability of CGI.

now we have to find a new debate topic for high-altitude yahtzee matches.

CREED. that strong, rumbly throat.

Stupid CGI and their support of American runners. What are we, the only country in the world? THEY ARE SO XENOPHOBIC!!!!

Hey did you see the American Development money at the Pittsburgh Marathon. An additional 40k in American only money added to prize pool plus OT qualifier bonuses.

I like the 6 mile progression. Fast finishing mile!

I heard in Houston that Pittsburgh was planning to announce something... that's a great program. Its nice to see all these races stepping up and offering incentives like these. The OTQ standards are no joke anymore, so this kind of stuff helps a lot.
