My wife and I helped out with this race quite a bit. We developed the course and put it on the web sites. We had a great turn-out for a first year race, 162 pre-registered and more on race day. We had a 5k and 1 mile courses. In the 5K my wife, Dawn, took third in her age group. My 85 year old mother took first in the 60+ age group. I worked the finish line and was MC for the awards and drawings. We had great support from local businesses. It was a fun day. I'm slowly recovering from my injury and was able to run a mile. |
