Honolulu, HI: I was out early today and it was warm and humid but not much wind. Today I wanted to do a 4 mile tempo at around 6:50 pace. I was pretty tired from the trip so didn't want to push too hard. I did a couple of miles for warmup and then ran the tempo. It was hard to get going on the first mile. The first two miles were into the wind so that didn't help. I started feeling better about a 1 1/2 into it and picked it up from there. Felt pretty good the rest of the way. Ran the miles in 6:58, 6:56, 6:40, 6:41. Was glad to be able to pick it up the last couple of miles and turned into a pretty good workout. 61:10 (7:39 avg) |
