Had to travel to Warner Robins, GA last night and didn't get in until very late due to the FAA mess yesterday.  It was a decent day for running considering this far South (78, humid).  I wanted to do a few extra miles today and found a good route through some neighborhoods.  It was however very hilly which provided a good workout for me.  There was hardly any flat ground and was either going up or down all of the time.  This is not normal for me.  My knee felt better today but still felt it several times during the run.  Running wise I felt good today and feel recovered from the long run on Monday.

Here in Utah I think we're about the opposite as far as the hill situation. It's real hard to find any routes that aren't up and down all the time.

Good to hear you feel recovered from the long run and hope the knee is kind to you. I think we're all at that point right at the peak of marathon training and right on the hairy edge of breakdown. Hopefully we all make it through the next few weeks in one piece. I'm really looking forward to the taper this year.

I hear you on the taper. I am just hoping to get through the next 4 weeks without getting any more problems then I can start backing off.

I actually don't mind the hills just don't get a chance to train on them very often. When I ran in high school we had some good areas to run the hills but since I started running again I haven't done many hills. It definitely builds a lot of strength.
