I guess I will just have to get used to the summer weather it looks like it is here to stay. It seemed like a short spring but I did have a couple of great weeks of running so can't complain. Today was pretty much the same as the last few days (75, sunny, humid and windy).  I think I need to start getting out before sunrise to try to beat this heat.  I felt much better today running.  Even though I could feel the effects of the warmer weather I just took it easy and it was a smooth run.  I plan to do some faster runs this week so we will see how that goes in the warmer weather.

Early morning runs are great...once you get your body and mind used to the early hour. A great start to the day! Keep up the strong running.

BTW, did you get any damage in your area last week with the tornados?

From jim on Mon, Jun 09, 2008 at 17:43:42

Yes, I am sure if I get my schedule adjusted I will learn to appreciate getting out early. Just need to quit staying up so late.

Luckly we didn't have any damage but about 5 miles North of us got hit pretty bad. Close enough to give my girls a serious scare. Thanks for asking!

Glad you all were untouched. I have family in Shelbyville, IN and I didn't hear that they were impacted.

Shelbyville is only about 15 minutes SE from me and most of the damage was North of me so they should be OK.

I set an alarm on my watch that goes off every evening at 9 pm- it is my "go to bed" alarm. Granted I still don't get in bed until 10 pm, often, but it gets me moving in that direction. As long as I get to bed by 10, I can make my morning run. Not easy, though.

Glad you didn't have any damage.
