I'm BAAAAACK!!!  Sorry it's been awhile...that last couple of months have been really bad.  No motivation, no energy, pain all through my legs whenever I ran no matter how slow or short I went, no cardiopulmonary or mental endurance at all...just not good.   Have no idea what was wrong other than just perhaps stress in some form, although I'm not exactly sure from what...finals aren't THAT bad.  Wasn't in shape in any sense of the word for the Ogden Marathon...so I tried emailing them on multiple occasions to see if I could drop to the half but they would never get back to me so I ended up skipping out on the whole thing.   So basically I just gave up for a month or two and figured when my body was ready to run again it would let me know...so here I am...I feel decent now and I think now that I've got a more stable schedule and not as much stress with school (if that's what it was even) I can try to ease back into things and get into shape again...hopefully in time to get a decent showing at TOU.  6 easy miles today on the Canal trail and then back along Canyon Road and back up to my new apartment.  Pace actually wasn't too bad and my legs weren't too tired.  I could tell it's been awhile though.  But pretty good for a first go in such a long time. Just a little rusty but it felt good to get a workout in.

5 pretty easy again down around the Tabernacle and then down through the Island.  Really tried to work on my form today because it felt really really jerky and not smooth at all yesterday.  Looked at myself in the mirror windows at the car dealership and it didn't look too bad.  People probably thought I was checking myself out though.  haha.  Felt good again today...not much pain in the legs like before.

3.5 a little faster today...just up to 14th North, down Main, up 4th North back to my place.  Pushed a little bit and felt good...endurance is better.  Didn't feel hammered like before and like I had no oxygen.  Legs got a little tired naturally but not painful.  That's a good sign I suppose.  I'm just gonna continue to keep the mileage short for the next couple of weeks and just experiment until I get my legs back.

PS I love the Logan summer.  6 AM is so perfect for running!

4 easy.  Up 14th, East to 15th East and down through campus with a couple of small extensions.  Felt good.  Just relaxed today and even took it easy on the hills.  No pride. Just plodded up them.  haha

5 easy down through the Island again since it's close.  My legs felt actually a hint of being strong for the first time in forever.  I felt I could do 10, but obviously that probably wouldn't be a great idea now.  I may try 8 tomorrow.  We will see if the strong feeling in the legs continues.

First Dam to Spring Hollow on the River Trail with Scott (redrooster).  Felt GREAT!  There were about a million people on the trail...it seemed like some sort of fitness club or something was out for a run too.  And then on the way back we passed a pack of tourists.  Anyway, the run was awesome.  We actually pushed the last third or so pretty hard because it was downhill and everything.  But it just felt great.  Legs feel awesome!  I think I am finally getting it back.  Felt really good about this week.  I think I am going to take another week like this and then start increasing the mileage bit by bit until I am back up to par.
