Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy life...de-stress.  Stay fit as I enter retirement in  2025.

No racing, retired.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

Personal:

 I started running competitively in 2005 and ran my first marathon in 2005. Now retired from competitive racing.

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;

answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
You are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
for I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord,
for I give myself to you.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.  - Psalm 86:1-7

Horrible night sleep, woke up sore all over.  No morning run (getting old and creaky).

7 miles on a nice day at lunch.  Needed this one, came in early so I could go a couple of miles longer at lunch. (Mirage 2017)

5:30am...7 miles with Moxie, then 4 more solo miles on a chilly morning. (Ride Orange)

Coffee with my men's group leaders, some errands and hanging out with family then dessert tonight with some new friends.

3 miles in the afternoon to enjoy the weather. (Guide 7)

Congrats to IFHS XC boys for winning state 4A.  Bummer that Justin could not be a part of it after working hard all through high school and getting injured before his senior season.  We have a really sad young man on our hands.  We celebrate with the boys though.  Justin will come out stronger for the experience (and has diversified greatly into other activities and opportunities) one of which could likely be running in college.  Still hard to tell him that God has a reason for this challenge.
