"Engaging in a little suffering — however self-imposed, arbitrary and contrived — before breakfast each morning tends to demand some humility and injects some marked relief into the rest of the day, making things sharper, more inspired, more immediately aware of the powerful presence of being. And that seems really worthwhile." A. Krupicka

"I cruised down hills, churned up hills, and floated over the asphalt, existing in a world that seemed to lack the confinements of such ubiquitous rivets as time, obligation, or pain. I knew then that this was destined to be one of those serendipitous runs for which so many of
us strive yet so rarely achieve." J. Nevels

How is your tooth? My tooth hurts right now, so I thought of you. I think I have a crown falling off or something, that can not be good!!!!

Nice running. Love the speedy miles on the track!

I'm sorry you're in the doldrums. I've been thinking about you too because I keep thinking I need to get in to see the dentist. Yuck.

Lysa - in the late 20th century, words were like this were commonplace. Dang kids. lol.

Everything feels pretty much fully recovered, I still get some phantom pain in the gums where the work was done (at least I hope they're phantom. I was thinking how lucky you are that your dad is a dentist. He probably taught you guys how to take good care of your teeth and so avoid the kind of BS I've been experiencing the last couple of years.

Thanks Carolyn - the doldrums is in reference to my lackadaisical pace on most of my recent runs. My running is in the doldrums. If that makes sense.
