"Engaging in a little suffering — however self-imposed, arbitrary and contrived — before breakfast each morning tends to demand some humility and injects some marked relief into the rest of the day, making things sharper, more inspired, more immediately aware of the powerful presence of being. And that seems really worthwhile." A. Krupicka

"I cruised down hills, churned up hills, and floated over the asphalt, existing in a world that seemed to lack the confinements of such ubiquitous rivets as time, obligation, or pain. I knew then that this was destined to be one of those serendipitous runs for which so many of
us strive yet so rarely achieve." J. Nevels

10 miles easy / from work. Sunny, warm. Phew! Looks like Monday's little episode was an anomaly - felt just fine today. Still, I'd like to know what caused the fail. I'd hate to encounter that on race day. I'm a little sleepy today due to several nights now of 3 or 4 hours of sleep per night. Broken sleep at that. 8:47 avg.

some days are just like that. i have had a few of those unpleasant running experiences -- a complete bonk just 2 miles into my run. i get all weak and lightheaded -- it feels terrible, like i never want to run again (september 28, 2010 was my last major crisis). maybe it's a lefty thing?

anway, nice run today. i am glad you are feeling back to normal.

I'm glad that you're feeling better today.

I had a day like your Monday last Saturday. I finally gave up and walk. I guess some days are just like that.

That's exactly what it's like, bonking 2 miles into the run! It happened to me once before a couple of years ago. Funny how those specific runs stand out so clearly in memory.

Welcome back Carter. Glad you feel better.

I think we all have bad days were we aren't feeling it. Nice work getting back at it.

I think those days just happen. I can never figure out whether its better just to push through and do the workout or let it go. I usually end up just pushing through it, but I feel like crap afterward. Clearly it is not a big problem for you!
