Unscheduled day off. It's been pouring in Maine, and also in Indiana from what I hear. I failed to bring any old shoes with me on this trip, and I don't like to get shoes waterlogged when they are too new. Running in the morning for sure. I guess this guarantees a down week. Run in the morning before doing family stuff and before heading back to Indiana tomorrow. Long run on Saturday.

A nice reset week can definitely clear out some crud in the legs, but like you I usually don't end up taking them unless I am sort of forced to by travel and such. But it usually ends up being a good thing.

It was good to have a few days off as much as I would loved to have ran every day. Good down week with lower mileage, but some quality aerobic runs. Both my hilly 8-miler and my 10 miler today were just above average pace for 3:15 marathon, so I'm going to try for Boston.

Weather looks pretty cool further north here. Nor sure how long it's going to last but I'll take it!
