Hoping that when the roads clear out that I will be much faster than on the treadmill. Recent experience suggests that I will be. For now it's about keeping the heartrate reasonable and putting in the time on my feet.

Very pleased with how my fitness has improved over the last two weeks. Decent race on Saturday, strong builder on Tuesday, and three weeks getting the mileage back up to 75-80. No 100 mile weeks planned this buildup. Maybe two weeks at 90-95 with consistent 75-85 mile weeks.

Good running Jason. Actually did my 12.5 today at that exact same pace 8:13. But unlike you, I am old and slow and have no expectations of running faster outdoors right now.

I was just going to comment on your blog, Bret. If I hadn't had such a solid builder on Tuesday and race on Saturday I would be very concerned. Nothing wrong with 8 minute pace. Since I started running my easy pace really hasn't got that much faster (in terms of what I DO run, not what I CAN run).

To your "old and slow," I say poppycock!
