2 miles easy, averaged 8:44. Off to the Airport--shipping up to Boston!

BAA lost my bib. After that I requested an elite one so I could lead the first mile, then walk off the course. No such luck. New bib 2997. Guess I'm running 26.2. Getting my shirt the woman asked me what my time was. I thought she meant what I was shooting for she meant qualifying time. I thought she was questioning my goal time. After sitting in the bathroom for a while, I realized she wanted to make sure my number didn't put me too far back from where I should be. Moral of the story: I'm a bit anxious and touchy. (Sorry about panic texts, Jakers.)

It's all good - just don't do it during quiet hours (8pm to 6am) :-)

We aren't going to discuss racing strategy when I can't sleep tonight :-) ?

Nice Dropkick Murphy's reference!

Happy racing.

Got your comment just before loading my gear bag, Bam. That put me in high spirits. Thanks.

Sorry to hear that you had a rough time out there. Although it's 'aided', it does sound like a tough and subtle course. I think Bret and Jake made great points about the course etc. And allie's point about the training and your fitness is worth remembering too. Keep the focus on consistency and progression and you'll consistently progress.
