AM/Lunch: 8.25 miles.

The price on a pair of ISO Triumphs came down enough finally for me to try a pair. I am very impressed. I wanted a high mileage shoe for recovery runs, long runs, whatever runs. I picked up a pair of Rides a few months ago and they are too firm for as much cushion as they have and they are too inflexible and for faster runner I think makes my achilles work harder (a completely untested theory). The ISO Triumphs were fantastic on this first run. Cushy but not squishy! I now want a closet of them.

PM: 5 miles.

I love the new triumphs, they are perfection. I don't know what I'm going to do if/when my sponsorship runs dry... the price is outrageous, but its the only shoe I want to wear 90% of the time!

Are you running in the 2s yet?

I got these for $75, which seemed fair. I've been looking at them for many months, which is not something I usually do with shoes.

Very pleased so far.

I haven't been able to get my hands (feet) on the 2s yet.

$75 is good. Sierra Trading Post has them on closeout now. I find them pretty durable... got about 700 miles our of my first pair, which I'm still using occasionally for short runs on grass.

I like Kinvara but these are better for winter when I'm doing more runs on road/sidewalks.
