AM: Off. Slept in.

PM: Firecracker loop - 10.25 miles, averaged about 8:00. My Garmin messed up and corrected for where it assumed I went I think. Did some strides. Nice to see some lower 4s flashing while remaining in control. Did some brief HMP pickups for a few stretches during the run.

Nice week!

Thanks! Would have been another big week, but I got out of bed and could barely walk Saurday morning. Hip flexor/groin/quad area. I ignored it for a few days and I'm paying the price. Might have to race off a super taper. Otherwise I'm on cheering and photography patrol.

yikes - maybe aggravated it during the strides? Hope it turns out to be minor and you can get in a few runs this week before the race.

The strides didn't help. I was trying to stretch it, which was dumb. Two days off then would have been smart. Hope for the best and try to treat it I guess. It's getting better, but I am not sure if it will be in time.

Sure hope you are all healed up soon. Be smart.

Hope you are feeling better!! Be careful with the hip/groin area...

From Jason D on Mon, Oct 28, 2013 at 20:56:44 from 24.1.80.94

Thanks. Looks like I'm going to be on cheering and photography patrol unless things get better fast. I'm assuming hip flexor or abductor (I don't know my muscles well). Trying to turn and look behind me while running I'm guessing. I did a bit of that in the race and taking off into a stride this week.

I'm in for a deep tissue tomorrow. I'm going to ask if some localized work on it would help or make things worse. I'm paid up on a number of items in Indy, so I'll be there. I'll be the bum with a 40 in a paper bag in each hand :)

Sorry to hear this is still being a problem.

These might help in the future http://goo.gl/lEVQdF

Fingers are crossed over here. Hopefully you get some relief Jason.
