Lunch: 6.4 miles, averaged 10:07. HR 131.

PM: 5.2 miles, averaged 10:30. HR 119 (somewhat suspect given that it dropped off).

Went to a post-meeting happy hour even though it wasn't my meeting. I paid dearly for the even the lightish sampling of some appetizers on this run. Atomic indigestion. Could have been the beer too, but I think a jalapeno on the nachos more likely.

The bike shop is loaning me a demo model for the ride tomorrow and my new rig should be in next week. It's going to be incredible.

It's a Specialized Diverge, a few pegs up from my current one. They gave me the full value of my used/broken one and a good deal, so I upgraded. This will save me from having to update the wheel set, which I planned to do in a year or so anyway. I imagine it is a bit lighter than my previous one, which, coupled with smoother treads will make it faster on the roads (not that I really do any road only riding, but I might here and there) and should be a bit faster for when I try cyclocross. The geometry is not optimal for that, but I am just dabbling around currently.
