PM: Treadmill - 9 miles in 62 minutes. Did a light workout of 6 miles @ 9.0-9.2 + a set of strides

The gym was up 14 degrees from what it's been so the pace to effort ratio was where it needed to be. Not much of a workout, but I'm slowing things down now that the buildup has started. No need for monster workouts just yet.

Good to know I'm not the only one that checks gym temps. Every time I would ask I would get some strange looks. If your building towards a 10k as per your schedule I think it actually would be ok.. Though not all that beneficial.. Just my thoughts. Take it for what it's worth.

True. It's not 10k specific, but I like to hit some stuff above threshold but faster than easy pace. I generally do not run any miles on my easy runs faster than 7:30 (on roads). So I go from running 7:45-8:45 to running 6:00-5:40 for workouts. This was actually easy MP but given my wine intake and higher air temp the effort was harder than it should have been.

The 10k is to shake the dust off before I transition to mile repeats, ladders., and so on. The roads haven't been fantastic and I really struggle running hard on the treadmill and I'm limited to 60 minutes unless I get creative.
